do you ever hear the intro theme to a video game and you get really emotional and your heart feels really weak like it’s coming back home and it’s basically like that whole world you love so much summed up into one epic song and you just want to fucking cry a lot because this is the video game for you and nothing else ever can even compare to the feeling you get when you hear that one fucking bit of music

  9. My Thoughts On Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

*SPOILER ALERT* If you have not played Ucharted 3, you may not want to read.

My thoughts on this game are somewhat divided. On one hand, it was, once again, a very well done game. The storyline was very exciting, the graphics were OUTSTANDING, and the soundtrack and gameplay were amazing and smooth. Getting the backstory on how Drake met Sully was great. So, in terms of technical things, this game was one of the best.

Seeing Drake almost die in the desert made me think that the game was over, but I had to keep plugging along and when Salim found Drake, I felt a sense of gratitude that it didn’t end that way.

However, I didn’t like this game’s villains as much as the other two. Maybe it was because they weren’t the brutal, world domination hungry freaks that the other two were. They just seemed like normal people that were very good at mind games and the like. Also, for some reason, I had this weird feeling that Marlowe had a family relationship with Drake.

Finally, the “final battle” in this game wasn’t really a battle. It was a fighting section against the villain’s minions and then a series of QuickTime events. This kind of bugged me because the last battle wasn’t as climatic as I’d hoped. I felt Naughty Dog could’ve done a lot better with this battle had they given it their all.

Either way, this game was still great and I recommend all three of the Uncharted games to those who have never played them.

Overall, Uncharted 3 gets a 4/5 from me.

And Uncharted as a series, gets a 9.5/10.
